Enhanced, Easy Archiving for ANY Notes Database
Including Mail Files
The Ionet Archiver for Notes is an enhanced archiving solution for Lotus Notes that not only combines easy data archiving for ANY Notes database with a flexible and useful set of features, but is the ideal solution to the perennial problem of ongoing growth in mail file sizes within your organization. Users may not even realize their mail has been archived as the views and folder structures remain absolutely as they were prior to any archiving being conducted and archived mail can always be viewed in exactly the same manner as it would be if it remained within the mail file.
Ionet Software [the company] is based in New Zealand and EBSG is delighted to have been appointed as Ionet's North American reseller to provide local time zone support, demonstration and deployment assistance for this invaluable solution. Summary product information only is included on this web page but full product particulars can be accessed via the following link:

YArchiver for Notes
Easy Archiving for any Notes database, including Mail - includes R8.5.1 support.
The Archiver for Notes combines easy data archiving with a flexible and useful set of features.
For example, as well as archiving according to your criteria, the Archiver can process duplicate emails in mail files (typically up to 20%), automatically maintain database sizes at a defined limit, and allow drag/drop manual Archiving. Attachments can be compressed while being archived, 'Referral stubs' can be used to preserve doclinks and view/folder appearances, and users can search their production and archive data at the same time. In fact, users don't even need to know that their data is being archived at all.
In addition, the Archiver now supports Profiles, so you can define a set of Criteria and apply it to specific databases or users, e.g. 'US Staff', 'IT Managers, 'Discussion Databases' etc
Description
The Archiver automatically creates and maintains Archives for each eligible Production Database (Mail Files, or any other Notes database). At a scheduled time per day, it archives eligible data and performs maintenance tasks such as creating new Archives.
Each Database can inherit Archive Criteria & settings from a Profile or individually, with individual Criteria able to be controlled by the Database Owner or Administrator (you decide). For each Archive Criteria, you can archive the document, delete it, or simply remove attachments.
After the initial archiving has occurred, the Administrator can continue archiving the oldest or largest documents until the required database size is reached. In this way Administrators can enforce a maximum size for a database, but optionally allow the Database Owner to decide how it gets there.
All aspects of the Archiving process are controlled by the Administrator, Notes security is observed, and full backups can still be taken for off-site storage and Disaster Recovery.
